On Monday, Lily Wen and I went to the big school for Jumpstart. She was able to meet her teacher (who we already knew!!!) and her classmates. She was so excited and you already know how I was feeling.

Lily Wen and Maleah
The class explores the school while hunting for the Gingerbread Man who ran away!
Even though Lily Wen and Lily D are not in the same class, they managed to find each other throughout the day and walked out together.
The first real day of school was yesterday. Lily Wen was so excited and kissed me at the door of her room to let me know it was okay for me to leave. I cried the whole way to my school. Thankfully, I had an extremely busy day and so that was all the time I had to give in to my emotions. I could not get there to pick her up fast enough. She had a Wonderful Day! As for me, I didn't cry today so there's progress!

I am so happy she had such a great time! I am sure you are not the only mom feeling that way.
It is hard on the Mom's isn't it! She looks so cute and so very excited! That backpack is nearly as big as she is! Have a fun weekend!

I'm proud of you both. She is going to fly, I can just tell!
I remember when Maddie started kindergarten - so hard! It looks like Lily thoroughly enjoyed herself though - at least she's not crying, that would make it harder!
Wow, what a gorgeous looking school! So glad she had such a wonderful time! It's a shame the girls can't be in the same class.
Sending an extra hug, I know it's so hard watching them grow!

Isn't it funny how hard it is for us moms to let them go to school??? She's a well-adjusted, wonderful child thanks to her momma!!! By the way, that first picture is such a keeper!!! I love how tiny she looks with that fantastic background!!! What does Graeme think of his big sis in school??
YOu dress her sooo well.. Love your pics...shes just beautiful!
Ohhhhh What a "Big Girl"!!! She is precious. M don't blink because one day you are going to snap that picture and she is going to be a Junior in High school!! Trust me I know.
Love, Kristy
